Wellbeing course

This is a 10 week course consisting of 10 one hour workshops. Each workshop will provide practical tools for bringing change to the life's of the participants.

The workshops look at all aspects of life from improving sleep to communication skills, there will be plenty of opportunity and exercises to bring the group together establishing peer support and create new friendships. The workshops are inspirational and motivate people to lead happier more fulfilling lives.

The cost of each 1 hour workshop is £50.00 so the total cost of the course is £500.00

The course can also be delivered as a 2 day  workshop or simplified into 1 day  life skills workshop.

Stress Management

Stress is a natural reaction to life that motivates us to work, get up in the morning, even to seek more fulfilment in our relationships, work and leisure time. The problem is that when this stress becomes over-bearing and we are unable to manage or cope with it. Usually the end product of this is depression or excessive irritation and anger.

The good news is it doesn't have to be this way. the first step to addressing stress is to look at our energy levels. When we are tired, bored and run down our ability to cope with our work and even life in general is greatly depleted. So the first step in our training will be to look at our lifestyle we will give you practical tools for bringing you more energy and radiance.

Stress also comes very much from our inability to communicate our needs in an effective, honest and confident way. So the second aspect of the training will focus on self awareness and communication skills.

Another aspect of excessive stress is our inability to switch our mind off from work and relax when we get home or even just during our lunch break. Yet we are much more creative and effective workers when we are able to do this. Learning to switch off isn't just a cognitive problem and cannot in my experience be just dealt with by changing the way we think, this is because excessive Adrenalin builds up in the body when we are stressed. This natural flight or fight mechanism makes it next to impossible to calm down and switch off. I will give you practical ways of dealing with this and show you highly effective skills of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Communication skills

Communication can make or break an organization, poor communication skills can destroy both intimate and professional relationships and break down trust and understanding. Good communication skills can enhance any relationship, create a harmonious work place and greatly assist the healing process between a counsellor and client. Most problems in our place of work are caused because of misunderstandings of our poorly expressed needs and often occur between service users and staff, management and workers.

In this entertaining and inspirational day we will explore the core conditions of effective communication, listening skills, the importance of intention, positive assertiveness and creating win - win situations.

I will be drawing skills from many different and effective models of communication such as person centred communication, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy , Neuro Linguistic Programming and Non-Violent Communication.
