Chair Based Yoga & Tai Chi ~ For day Centers & Care homes

Seated Yoga and Tai Chi harmonises gentle seated yoga postures , simple Tai Chi movements and breathing techniques to deeply calm and energize participants. Accessible to all; it is being successfully used within stroke rehabilitation, day centres, with wheelchair users, in care homes, with people with dementia, psychiatric units and with the elderly as well as offering a wide range of benefits to many other groups and individuals.

Seated yoga was initially created for people who had experienced Strokes, who with some physical  immobility couldn't participate in Yoga and Tai Chi classes. It's popularity is growing very quickly in care homes for the elderly.

Seated yoga differs greatly from seated exercise and can be a great complimentary practice. Seated yoga is used more as a stress management and relaxation practice bringing physical, emotional and psychological healing and well being to the practitioner.

A session can last up to an hour and cost £35 for a regular booking.
The sessions are open to everybody, including people with learning difficulties and physical disabilites.
